CMP should rethink on alliance with TDP: Buddhaprasad

Vijayawada, May 11 : Andhra Pradesh Minister for Animal Husbandry Mandali Buddhaprasad has
requested the CMP the state to rethink on its alliance with TDP for the May 29 by-elections.

Speaking to pressmen here today, the minister said that even when the ruling Congress government
in the state has taken up so many welfare schemes for the people, CPM forming an alliance with
TDP surprises him.

The minister said that TDP supremo Chandrababau Naidu was so desperate to return to power
that he was making promises that cannot be fulfilled.

Congress Government in its four years rule implemented so many welfare programmes in Krishna
district, whereas TDP had not taken up any land mark schemes in Krishna district the minister
claimed.

Governmment would provide compensation to mango growers in the Krishna district whose crops
were affected because of diseases, the minister added.

Equal benefits should be extended to Christians of AP : APCMF

Vijayawada, May 11 : Andhra Pradesh Christian Minority Forum has demanded that all benefits
extended by the Andhra Pradesh government to Muslim minorities and Dalits should be extended
to Christians as well.

Speaking to reporters here today, R Anthony Maddala, President of the forum said, "The
Christians were deprived benefits from both sides, one from the minority Muslims and another from
Dalits."

He said, though ninety per cent were Dalits, the benefits extended to them should also be given to
Christians.

facilities should be made available.

"In setting up industries, the government should extend all subsidies given to Muslim minorities and
Dalits to Christians also," he said.

He also said that the government should not divide Dalits and Christians on caste basis. The forum
has been extending training to Christian students coaching in B.Ed., and have been conducting
yearly examinations.
