Raghavulu re-elected CPI(M) Secretary

Raghavulu was re-elected to the post for the fifth time today.

Mr Raghavulu was elected unanimously at the 23rd state conference in the presence of party
National General Secretary Prakash Karat and politburo members Brinda Karat and Sitaram
Yechury.

He was first elected as CPI(M) Secretary at 19th state conference in 1997, thereafter, he was
elected unanimously in 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009.

The top leadership of the party re-elected Mr Raghavulu  as Secretary in the hope that the party
would be able to regain its lost glory. The CPI(M) had won only one Assembly seat in the 2009
elections.

JNTUK announces schedule for ECET-2012

Kakinada, Feb 4 :  The Common Entrance Test Committee for ECET-2012 (for diploma holders),
headed by Dr G Tulasi Ram Das,Vice Chancellor of  Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,
Kakinada, (JNTUK) at its first meeting here today accorded  approval for the  examination
schedule, syllabi and notification and related issues.

Briefing about the details of the committee's deliberations at a press conference later, Dr Tulasi  
Ram Das, who aws also the Chairman of ECET-2012, said examination would be held for 11
subjects-four each for Polytechnic diploma holders  and Pharmacy and three in case of Bsc
Mathematics.

The process of ECET starts with the issuing of  notification on February 17 and sale of applications
on February 18.

The last date for receipt of applications without  fine is April  two. The hall tickets will be
despatched  on April 23.
